The 1969 AMC AMX is the car that inspired Iron Tide Motorsports.
Originally owned by my late stepfather, Dave, this AMX was one of only three vehicles remaining from his collection when he passed away. Dave's passion for cars and racing had a profound influence on my life, and before he passed, he entrusted this car to me.
Finished in Matador Red with white racing stripes and powered by AMC's legendary 343 cubic-inch V8 backed by a four-speed manual transmission, this AMX represents far more than horsepower and sheet metal. It is a tangible connection to family, memories, and the automotive passion that ultimately led to the creation of Iron Tide Motorsports.
Today, preserving and enjoying Dave's AMX is about more than restoring a classic muscle car—it's about keeping a legacy alive and ensuring that the stories attached to this car continue to be shared for generations to come.
Indigo
The 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ serves as Iron Tide Motorsports' primary adventure and off-road platform. Built to handle everything from Gulf Coast trails to automotive events across the region, this Jeep bridges the gap between daily utility and weekend adventure.
Powered by Jeep's legendary 4.0L inline-six engine, this WJ has been transformed with a Rough Country 4-inch long arm suspension system, Bilstein shocks, BFGoodrich KO2 tires, and additional armor to tackle whatever lies ahead. Performance upgrades, including a K&N cold air intake, BBK throttle body, and Flowmaster exhaust, help the venerable inline-six breathe a little easier, while custom touches such as the FastHemis ram air hood and KC Wraps graphics give the Jeep a distinctive Iron Tide identity.

Black Betty
Every gearhead has that one dream car they've wanted since they were a kid. For me, that car was always a classic Mustang.
Black Betty came into my life after I traded some silver and pulled her out of a backyard where she had been sitting for years. While she may not have looked like much at the time, I saw something different—a future race car and a chance to bring another piece of American muscle back to life.
Originally built as a 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1 SportsRoof equipped with a 351 Cleveland V8, Black Betty represents more than just another project. She's the long-term vision of Iron Tide Motorsports: taking a forgotten classic and transforming it into a purpose-built drag car while preserving the spirit that made these cars legendary.
The road ahead won't be easy. There will be setbacks, late nights in the garage, busted knuckles, and plenty of lessons learned along the way. But that's exactly what Iron Tide Motorsports is all about.
